You Were There

Though I could not see you.

You were there for me
Though I could not hear you.

You were there for me
When I faced the fear.

You were there for me
A presence to cling to.

You were there for me
Always, letting me know
I was not alone.

Though you could not feel me.

I was there for you
Holding your hand through the pain.

I was there for you
A presence to be near you.

I will always be there
Letting you know,
You are never alone.
