A Plea

Hi Alisa:

My name is Marie. You don't know me but I've read your poems and stories you've posted and have enjoyed them very much. I just finished reading "Who Shall Save the Last" and am anxiously waiting for more "Winter Fears."

I have an unsual request to ask you. My supervisor at work has to undergo another bout of brain surgery having done so a couple of years ago after an aneurysm (sp?) burst in her head. It is a miracle she survived at all having driven her own self to the hospital after it happened. Now there is a growth on her other side. The reason I am writing to you is because she loves poetry. She knows I'm crazy about KF and I've shown her poetry that people on the lists have written. She simply loves your poetry. I hope you don't mind me showing them to her. She thinks you are a great writer. I do too:-) I was wondering if you could write a poem just for her to kind of give her hope and strength to go and face this very difficult time in her life. She's putting up a brave front, but I know she is very scare. I believe a poem from you for her will probably help. I know this is probably the weirdest message you've ever received and that you are very busy, so if you do not feel like doing it I'll understand. If you are willing to do this, I'll be happy to reimburse you for your trouble and time. Her name is Zandra.

Thank You,

Marie
