"Pop, is the Black Widow order gone for good?"

"I do not know, my son," Caine first answered. "Certainly with the death of Kai Mow and the Mother of the nest, the order has been weakened considerably. What is your opinion my father?"

"You are right my son, though the order is not totally destroyed, only one nest was removed. There could be others."

"Do you think Meng Xupin could have brought change to the order if he had lived?" Peter asked.

"Yes, my grandson, I believe he would have."

"But change takes time," the Ancient stated as he entered with a pot of tea. "It would not have happened over night. It took centuries for the order to become what it has. It could take many more for it to return to its true purpose."

"I'm glad to see you're back Lo Si." Peter stated.

"The Masters of Shambhala were quite grateful for the scrolls. They will use them with care and see that they are preserved for future generations. And it is good to be back."

"I'm just glad it's all over."

"It isn't over quite yet, my son."

"Oh yeah, Mrs. Pan. Pop, what am I going to say to her?"

"Tell her the truth."

"I don't think she's ever going to forgive what happened. She believes I killed her husband."

"I'm certain she will, after the trial," Kelly Blake entered at that moment. "Caine, I'm really sorry."

"There is no reason to be sorry. You were only doing your job."

"And I'm going to have to do my job again. Until this mess is cleaned up, I'm going to have to place Peter under arrest."

"Awe come on Kelly, you know I didn't kill him."

"Yeah, I know, but until this is cleared up, I have to do this."

"You mean I'm going to have to go to trial on this?"

"Don't worry, Kermit called Stacy Pardcek. It won't be for long. With the evidence that Captain Simms has, you won't be convicted."

"What evidence?" Peter questioned.

"I can't say."

"Kelly come on. I used to be a cop, you can tell me."

"Sorry Peter. You'll have to talk to your lawyer about that."

"Pop, do something, this can't be happening."

"I am sorry, my son. You will have to face this on your own."

"Oh great. You're not going to make me wear handcuffs are you?"

Kelly gave Peter a fiendish grin.

"Awe come on!"

"That's the law, Peter. I only enforce it, I don't make it."

Matthew, Kwai Chang, and Lo Si all smiled as they continued to watch the exchange between Peter and Kelly Blake as they left the apartment. With Peter safe, though in jail, father, grandfather, and friend alike could rest easy and enjoy a peaceful moment of solitude.

"It looks like your son will have his hands full."

"Yes, my father. But I am concerned. What if he is convicted?"

"He will not be convicted," Matthew answered.

"How do you know?"

"I am the key witness to his defense."

"Will you not go and see Peter's lawyer right away?" Lo Si questioned.

"After I have another cup of tea."
