Sally Dugan didn't waste any time. She quickly got everyone another round of drinks then went to the back room.

"Hey, what about my whiskey?" one of the patrons called out.

Sally had not seen the older man sitting in the darkened corner of the bar back behind the pillars. "Mark, could you get that guy another glass. I've got something I've got to do."

"Sure Sally," Mark Wilson, a fellow bartender who usually worked only when Sally was on duty, headed toward the front of the bar but hesitated when he reached the swinging doors. "What should I tell the boss?"

"Just tell him I had to go out for a few minutes."

"You know he doesn't like anyone taking personal time off when there are customers in the place."

"This is important, Mark."

"Sally, what's going on?"

Sally looked toward the front of the bar and spied the two men now sitting at a nearby table in close conversation. The woman was gone, but her presence could still be felt and a deep shiver ran up Sally's spine. Sally knew deep down that the older blond woman was not someone you wanted to mess with. She could sense that the woman had a dangerous aura about her. Where she came from Sally did not care. She only cared about the fact that the woman was advocating murder of innocent lives.

"Mark, whatever you do, don't tell the boss where I've gone."

"Sally, you've got to tell me what's going on."

"Hey, how about another round of drinks here," someone called from the main barroom.

"Keep your shirt on!" Mark called back. "I'll be right there." Mark turned back to Sally. "You've got to tell me something or I can't let you leave."

"You can't stop me, Mark. I have to do this."

"Do what, you haven't told me anything to justify you having to leave in the middle of a shift."

Sally took a deep breath then forced the air from her lungs. "Someone's going to kill more of the monks at the shrine."

"Are you sure?"

"I heard it with my own ears. They're going to get rid of every single monk at Rachel's shrine."

"How? I mean who said it and how are they going to do it?"

"Some older blond woman," Sally stated.

"What woman?" Mark questioned. He had been in the back room doing inventory.

"She was just in here. I didn't get her name. I've never seen her before. She was talking to Jake Carson and his son. I heard her say she was living up at the old Liam Holmes place."

"That place had been vacant for 50 years. I can't believe anyone would want to live there. They should have torn it down years ago."

"Mark, you're getting off track. That woman said she knew of a way to get rid of the monks."

"So, go tell the Sheriff."

"You know the Sheriff could care less about those monks."

"So, what can you do about it?"

"Hey! We're waiting for our drinks! You going to serve them or not?"

"You better get them their drinks before they complain to the boss," Sally said as she rubbed her forehead, trying to stem off the headache she knew was coming.

"You better not do anything foolish, Sally," Mark warned. "If someone is planning to kill those monks and they find out you know about it, you could get yourself killed as well."

"I'll just have to take that chance," Sally stated. "I've got to tell someone before someone gets hurt."

Sally took off her apron then grabbed her purse that was sitting on a nearby desk. She pulled out her keys then headed to the back door. She didn't know exactly what she was going to do, she only knew she had to do something, before it was too late.
