In the Memories of Peter Caine: Bon Bon Hai's Study

Bon Bon Hai waited until the door was firmly secured in place then sent a blast of air straight at the young Shaolin. Peter was thrown back, hard against the wooden paneling of the wall.

"How dare you come in here with your accusations."

Peter shook off the attack as best he could, then sent a column of air back toward the ex-Zhong Li Quan leader. He then held up the small tiger.

"This gives me the right," Peter stated though he was struggling to get out the words. His chest felt bruised from Bon Bon Hai's attack and he suspected that he might have a cracked rib or two.

Bon Bon Hai seemed to absorb the column that Peter had sent his way, and with the wave of his hand, he sent it back toward the young Shaolin with greater force, this time pinning Peter against the wall with his arms out stretched. Bon Bon Hai held him there and calmly walked up to the Shaolin. He reached up and grabbed the tiger from Peter's hand.

"Thank you for returning my property," Bon Bon Hai stated then released his hold on Peter Caine.

Peter fell to the floor. He struggled to rise, but was once again pinned by Bon Bon Hai's hand at his throat. "You and your father have been a thorn in my side for too long. You will both learn the true meaning of power, then both of you will die."

As if to punctuate his words, Bon Bon Hai lifted Peter Caine like a rag doll and through him across the room. The young Shaolin fell hard against the desk, smashing it into firewood. Peter lay there, still as death.

Two men entered Bon Bon Hai's study from hearing all the commotion. Their guns were drawn, ready to protect their Master.

"See to it that he is made uncomfortable. He will be joining another guest. Then see that my desk is replaced."

It was several hours when Peter woke up to find Henry and he had been placed in that cell. Now they were trapped in the Dark Warrior's Realm with no way out. The last time he had been here, his father had helped him to fight the Dark Warrior and with the white crystal medallion of Shambhala, they were able to escape and return home. This time, Peter and Henry had no such aid.

Peter bent his head in shame and sorrow. 'Some Shaolin I've turned out to be. I should have known better than to face Bon Bon Hai with anger and accusations. But he had my father's pouch. That's proof enough that he's done something to him.'

Peter gathered his legs under him and sat in a lotus position. Doubts filled him and he wondered if he had made a grave mistake becoming Shaolin.

'I wonder if you've had any doubts, Pop. I guess I'll never know. For all I know, Bon Bon Hai already killed you. Maybe that's why I can't sense you.'

Peter patted the pouch that still remained at his side, surprised that Bon Bon Hai had not taken it back from him. At least he had something of his father's to remember him. In his heart Peter did not want to face the truth of his words, that his father might very well be dead. He just did not want to believe that it was possible. He had to hang on to hope somehow. There just had to be a way to defeat the Tiger.
