Chinatown

Bon Bon Hai returned to the realm of the Dark Warrior, only to find that it was empty. His prisoner had somehow escaped. Where had Caine gone? He had not returned to Chinatown. Bon Bon Hai would have known immediately. Peter Caine and the Ancient were the only Shaolin presence within the community that he could sense. Bon Bon Hai wanted to question his prisoner further. He wanted to know if Caine had been the one he had sensed those many months ago in his Los Angeles home. And if it had been, he wanted to know why.

Ever since that day, Bon Bon Hai had continued to worry about what the Shaolin was planning, and yet no attack had come. Perhaps he misjudged the situation, yet Caine had been a thorn in his side for too long. Caine had beaten him, and ripped the tiger symbol from around his neck, thus stripping his connection to the Zhong Li Quan.

The title had always been in his family. He would have passed it down to his daughter, if she had not betrayed him. No parent wishes harm on their children, but when it came to his child, he found that the only feeling he had for her was contempt. She was much like her mother. Now Teeya had the gall to marry that dissident child against his wishes. They would pay dearly for that. To exact his revenge on the young couple, Bon Bon Hai had allied himself with the dark forces, thus paving the way for the Dark Warrior's return. But once again, Caine found a way to stop him by defeating the Dark Warrior himself, but not before Bon Bon Hai was to inherit his dark master's powers.

The defeat of the Dark Warrior however, had left Bon Bon Hai weak and unprepared to confront the Shaolin. He though it prudent to leave Chinatown until the time was right to deal with Caine. Caine and his son had to be dealt with once and for all time, but without the Book of Shambhala, things proved harder than it looked. The book had been stolen by a former servant who was swiftly dealt with; too quickly. Before that servant could tell Bon Bon Hai where the book had been taken, he had died. And Bon Bon Hai was left to figure out on his own how to use the powers that he had been given by his dark master.

It had not been easy. He had been lucky to block Peter Caine's awareness of his father and to take Caine to the Dark Warrior's realm. In order to do so, he had to cause the accident that nearly killed his enemy. Though he would have been pleased at Caine's demise, at the same time, he would have felt cheated. He wanted to be the instrument that brought death upon the Shaolin, not a simple car accident. So, he tried to heal Caine, not so much out of kindness, but because he was not ready to take revenge. He wanted Caine to remain alive at least for a little while longer. With Caine in the Dark Warrior's realm he could go after the son, but now, it would seem his revenge upon Caine would have to wait. Or did it. Caine would certainly suffer more if Peter were to die first.

Bon Bon Hai paced the confines of the Dark Warrior's realm and thought on what his next step would be. A plan began to form in his mind. Soon he had everything worked out to his satisfaction, then Bon Bon Hai suddenly winked out, returning to the world of men.
