24 Questions Continue:

17) "In keeping with the theme and essence of reincarnation and karmic cycles, do you think that you will have to return again? Why? Yeah. I'll get it right in time, for one thing. I mean I thought i had forever, I'm beginning to notice that I don't seem to have that much time. It won't all get done, even today. We're late right now. Besides, I have to stay until everyone else goes. That's my deal.

"Eighteen. If you were to stop and listen to your own inner dialogue what does it say most often? "What the FUCK!" That's what it says.

19) "Allen Ginsberg said. 'Absolutes are coercion. Change is absolute.' Do you agree with that statement? Please explain your reply. Beatnik drivel. I oughta know.

20) "Do you think that humanity is endowed with Free Will? Explain your reply. Yes. Destiny calls, but it doesn't dictate. The stars impel, they do not COMpel. All that. But it's just. this is guesswork. This is all guesswork.

21) "What is the source of all creative manifestation? We have to finish this. Whew! This is what it says, whew! Longing, I think. We long. For what we can only dream. Maybe it can't be defined. The cave dwellers in Cro-Magnon; why did they paint the wall? 'Experts' say, for ritual, or superstition. But, a two-year old does the same thing, with no ideas about religion or usefulness. (And I can believe that because of my two year old now.-AJ) So we just like to draw on walls, that's our humanity.

22) "Does a rock have a consciousness or awareness? The entire cosmos may be aware in some sense. Probably is. Define awareness. I don't think the rock KNOWS it's aware, though, if you can figure that one out. I mean a rock is aware, but it's not aware that it's aware.

23) "Why did you answer these questions? Why indeed. To pass the time here while waiting for death. I mean we've got to do something, right.

24) "Who is David Carradine? Please define it in one complete sentence. Read the book. That's my answer. So, we've put an ending on it."

Then Rob Moses came on to express his thoughts of that weekend, how much fun he had, and that he hoped to come back again. Everyone gave them applause for their time that they shared. It had been such a great weekend. I have my own final thoughts, but just as they were leaving I called out to David and handed him the chocolate chip cookie I had bought and said, "Here's one for the road."

His reply to me was, "Oh gee, thanks."

Our fingers brushed lightly as he took the cookie from me. It felt good, almost electric. I then quickly gathered my things and rushed out to see him dragging his suitcase down the path, heading to another destination and another project. Boy, can that man move!

I hope he can come back again to impart more wisdom, tell more stories. and just simply share that wonderful witty sense of humor (next yesr-2001). Unfortunately, it was not to be. But, I would love to continue to document and to spread the message that is so very important that by cultivating all that we think we know, what we really know is that we don't know it all-that lesson continues. There is always someone who thinks they know it all, and in truth, they really don't. Even David doesn't know it all and he is still seeking to know more. Until next time, as David would say, "Peace."
