A Chat with David Carradine

Was only able to log starting with Spider's question. Did not get the earlier stuff. This is most of it. Enjoy. Alisa

spiDErJAm: Sparky of all your creative abilities which one reaches down into your inner core the most?
sPaRkY1: I said I don't have to answer.
Lokick: Sparky,, I am reading a book about the Barrymoores.. do you have recollections of them?
sPaRkY1: Just kidding.
spiDErJAm: ;))
sPaRkY1: My imagination.
sPaRkY1: tons
spiDErJAm: I like that one ..
spiDErJAm: eternal
Alisa1: You mentioned about the Tao and Quantum Physics at Omega. Have you ever read the Tao of Physics?
sPaRkY1: I guess I'd have to go back to when I was a kid, and old John, drunk as s--- would come to visit my dad. Then later, I knew his son, John Drew, a complete lunatic (the father of Drew) whom I've known since she was a baby. Oh, I forgot Drew's big brother, John Blythe, wo I sort of brought up.
You notice I didn't tell any stories on them.
Alisa1: Yes.
Lokick: oh, yes, I will have to re read your book after this one..
sPaRkY1: Elisa, Yeah, it's a great book.
Lokick: its been a few years,, and copies are scarce!! LOL
Lokick: maybe i can get one on E-BAy!!
sPaRkY1: Try e-bay.
sPaRkY1: Mine's not for sale, now that I know they're hard to get.
spiDErJAm: LOL
spiDErJAm: GOOD 1 spark!
sPaRkY1: If you want a great book, read In Search of The Miraculous, by Ospensky
Alisa1: I've been looking for more books likethat.
Alisa1: I will checkitout.
Lokick: the last time i read it I finished on the 4th of July, and that is where it ends, correct/
sPaRkY1: We're talking about Endless Highway now? Yeah. The 4th is where it ends. I've written a lot more, supposed to be in the paperback.
Alisa1: I understand you are writng a couple of novels (at least that is what was reported on the site). When will they be available?
sPaRkY1: When they get published. I guess I have to show them to somebody first.
Alisa1: Understood. Getting published takes time.
sPaRkY1: Does it now?
Alisa1: It can, with fiction.
Alisa1: Depends.
Lokick: have you submitted the Highway material to a publisher?
sPaRkY1: Thunder would like to say Hello, but he doesn't know how to type.
spiDErJAm: :)
Alisa1: My cats type, but not all that well.
spiDErJAm: The Pupner says Hi back to Thunder..he my Keeshond
sPaRkY1: Lockick, No. I'm thinking about it. Journey, who published the original, sold out to a Japenese company that only wants to publish Macrame boioks.
Lokick: oh, well, find another, and we will look forward to reading it...
Alisa1: I love the way you write. Can't wait to readmore. Though Iam patient.
sPaRkY1: Well, I'm doctor.
Alisa1: love that line.
Lokick: marx bros?
Puffer1: Was any of the film "Bound for Glory" filmed near Pampa, Tx?
sPaRkY1: Yeah, I'm a smoothy.
sPaRkY1: No
Alisa1: Puffer, do youhave a question?
sPaRkY1: The answer to the BFG question was no..
Lokick: were you happy to see the merry go round from Americana is safe and sound?
Lokick: did LEO show you that/
sPaRkY1: He is on the phone..just a sec..
Lokick: he found the Merry go Round in a Museum somewhere...
Lokick: Frontier Village..Nebraska, or?
Alisa1: The wonderful artwork done on the top, I assume was yours, correct? It was beautifully done.
Alisa1: I'll have to check it out. Originally frm Nebraska. Would love to see it.
sPaRkY1: Yeah, I've heard the story. At the end of the movie, I just left it running. The art work was done by a 14 year old boy, a local kid. I figured that was about right for an ex-green beret.
spiDErJAm: Lokicck was it at risk historically?
sPaRkY1: He asked me what to paint, so I guess i directed the artwork.
Lokick: Well, Sparky,, was it outdoors for years,, you left it where the movie was done, correct?
spiDErJAm: sparky you enjoy any 3D games?
spiDErJAm: ...or any for that matter?
sPaRkY1: No. They took it apart and stored it very quickly. It would never have survived a Kansas winter.
sPaRkY1: No games. Life is serious stuff. Or at least real.
Lokick: oh, I see.. of course not...
spiDErJAm: We had one "rescued" here ...almost lost it...would of have been a shame..it's a bit of Americana...no pun intended
sPaRkY1: Actually, it was in the 60's that I decided to stop playing games;
sPaRkY1: about the same time I threw away my watch.
sPaRkY1: And my shoes.
Lokick: well, do you have a inner sense of time.. you were reasonably on time for the chat...
*** Signoff: spiDErJAm (Connection reset by peer)
sPaRkY1: No, I don't. I have sort of a Navajo sense of time, which is certainly inner, but not very reasonable.
Lokick: kind of go by the angle of the light?
sPaRkY1: I've missed a lot of dinners because of that. That's how I've stayed so fit.
*** DejaVu has joined channel #dcarradine
sPaRkY1: Angle of the light. Good. That's good.
sPaRkY1: Didn't you just say that?
*** spiDErJAm has joined channel #DCARRADINE

Lokick: spider keeps falling out of her web
Alisa1: That's true. I miss being outside a lot. Would love to watch the sunsets in Nebraska. Can't see then here. Toomany trees on the East Coast.

Lokick: nothing to stop them there...
sPaRkY1: Go westy.
Alisa1: Are ypu a Jumpong Spider tongitht?
sPaRkY1: I like to watch the sun rise. You have to be on the east coast for that. Everything's a trade off.
Alisa1: In the midwest you can get both.
sPaRkY1: Yeah. It's flat, though.
sPaRkY1: Not that I have anything against flat.
Alisa1: All the better to see both. Fantastic askyies.
sPaRkY1: What's an askyie?
Alisa1: OOPs that should be skies. Miss spell.
sPaRkY1: I want to see one.

sPaRkY1: Is for horses.
Alisa1: That's okay. My husband gets a laught out of it. He says I spellthings rather creatively at times.
sPaRkY1: Husband, huh? Oh, well.
spiDErJAm: meditate..be in both places..
Alisa1: You justmade me blush.
Lokick: I add things creatively
Lokick: ask LEO
Lokick: are you good at math,, sparky?
sPaRkY1: Leo's taking the fifth.
sPaRkY1: I'm good at it, I guess, but I don't like it much.
sPaRkY1: I like numerology.

sPaRkY1: Leo's gone to make coffee. I'm on my own here.

spiDErJAm: Lokick Brad Steiger has an 11:11 about Star Children or something like that
sPaRkY1: Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, or Best People on Earth. Their symbol is a clock stopped at the eleventh hour. No time to waste.
spiDErJAm: we interviewed him
sPaRkY1: Which is what we're doing right now.
sPaRkY1: But you gotta have some fun.
spiDErJAm: perhaps not sparky..
spiDErJAm: perhaps this is karmic?
sPaRkY1: Perhaps not what?
spiDErJAm: orsynchronotic events?

spiDErJAm: also I meant
sPaRkY1: Also, you meant what?
